Just realised that my email listed on this page died over a month ago, if you want to get in touch with me, please Private Message me on the Arcade Controls FAQ message board.
I plan to be updating some of the pages to fix things and add some small things.
January,2004
A few 'new' pages now linked to the main page. Axim ROM Restore - A guide I made on how to fix a Dell Axim X5 (and presumably X3) if a rom update fails. Linux Blog - My playings with Linux, mainly Mandrake 9.1, including a guide on configuring multiple mice under Linux.
November, 2003
New Console Pages, this is where I talk about one particular console in depth. Consoles added randomly.

Moving site over here (to the arcadecontrols.com server). My console collection page is now up. Thanks to the J-Pac and ArcadeVGA from Ultimarc, my Jamma cab now doubles as a Mame machine. I need to fiddle with the monitor (not an easy task with my cab, the monitor controls are in the back) to get it to display both the Window's desktop, and the games without rolling. (requires finding the 'sweet spot' on the V.hold knob)
April 6, 2002:
Been a while since I've updated, mostly because not much has happened. I found out that the video source was likely the trouble with NTSC converter board, but still haven't tried it out with a clean video source yet. It turns out the A/V outputs from my TV are not proper, and that was what I was trying to run it from.
Several people have emailed asking about where to get the composite NTSC to RGB decoder board (Most of the few emails I get from this page are from people asking about it). I got mine off Ebay, I can't remember the exact price, but I think it was around $40 (US). These boards pop up from time to time in the coin operated section.
I've given up on using a hacked SCART cable for Dreamcast, as it wasn't working. I'm now going to hack a VGA Box instead. Right now I'm planning on getting Dreamcast working first with my cab, since I still haven't built a dedicated PC for the cab, and because of all the emulators for Dreamcast(NES, Atari, MAME, etc).

Whoa! I haven't updated this page in quite a while. I've got pictures that I need to link on here(now linked). I'm now going to have Dreamcast hooked up to the machine, using a hacked SCART cable. The only thing slowing me down is the fact I need a LM1881 circuit, I have one half made for PSX that I'm putting back together to use for dreamcast instead. For games that don't have RGB out I now have a board that converts NTSC to RGB, letting me use virtually any game that hooks up to a TV (I can even hook up a VCR watch TV on my arcade monitor). The board has a problem in the color circuit making it only output only black and white, it came with schematics so I'm looking it over to see whats wrong. Once I get it working, I have this cool gun game system that's the size of a computer mouse (the guns are bigger of course) that'd be great to play on my arcade machine. Here's a picture of NTSC to RGB board.

Finaly made a new page! This page will document my multi-game (consoles, PC, and Jamma) cabinet project,
which a kind of cross between a PC2Jamma project, and a Mame conversion (where the cab is wired for the PC only).
Current status: my cab is wired to 3 button Jamma(the cab is a P.O.W.), the control panel is also wired to a 3 button(soon to be 6) game pad for genesis(RGB wiring soon), I've added a cable to the monitor to plug in a Playstation it looks like I need to make an LM1881 circuit to strip out the sync from composite video.
Systems planned to be added soon: Snes(just found a cable to get RGB out of it), PC(guts of a Power Ramp are sitting by my machine right now), and if I can get one, a Saturn. N64 is out, because it doesn't output RGB directly (I don't want to open one up), same reasons for Atari 2600 and NES.
